"Accompanying the exhibit is a video, The Seven Ages of Man, based on William Shakespeare’s “All the world is a stage” soliloquy, with verse by Dr. Eric Susser and animated illustration by Nelson. The video is not an aside to the exhibit, but a key — perhaps a summation. With the words “life is like a play, the acts being exactly seven,” childhood is remembered. Finally old age is glimpsed as the death of sensuality before the dry shell crumbles. Actually, it’s a very cheerful little film.
